The 16th International Nursing Research Congress, 12-16 July in Hawaii drew more than 900 nurses from 26 different countries. There were more than 600 oral and poster presentations during the week-long event.

The week began with two evidence-based nursing workshops. Evidence-Based Practice: A Primer, was presented by faculty from the Center for Advancement of Evidence-Based Practice at Arizona State University (ASU) and provided participants with essential information and skills to implement and stimulate evidence-based nursing practice. Using International Networking to Embed Evidence Into Nursing Delivery Systems, was presented by staff of The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and included an overview of current international networking activities, as well as a dialogue to identify the international perspectives and needs and to create a vision for the future. Both workshops were well received and stimulated conversation and plans for the future.
