Help!! Theoretical Framework

Does anyone know of a good theory I can use which addresses social needs, and anotherone which address organized knowledge for subject matter for adult learners. These theories will help to in forming my theoretical framework for a delegated nursing curriculum.

Do these have to be exclusively nursing theories or can you incorporate theories from other disciplines?

It can incorporate theories from other disciplines such as education. I think as long as it can be used to address the needs of children with medical issues. I am looking at using The Public Health Model as it closely relates to school nursing.
