Help with a research question.

I am trying to narrow a research proposal question for a Master's level research class. The current question is three in one.

1. Is there a gender difference in perception of pain and treatment of pain?
2. Do different classes of pain medications work better for women versus men?
3. Do we treat pain differently in men and women?

This is the question assigned by the professor. She let us go three weeks researching the literature and texts and then "flipped the script" last night and added a new assignment to determine if the question was too broad or too narrow and if so how to fix it.
