Anyone researching Autism?

My interest stems from having an Autistic grandson. I am interested in landing a career in Autism research if it is possible with my current ADN. I find it difficult to remain in an ungratifying nursing position for the remainder of my career, I'm serious about a change, I have at least 12 more years to work before retirement, and I'm certain there IS a job out there that will give me a sense of fullfillment and not destroy the remainder of my spinal anatomy that are still intact. I've been ANCC certified in Psychiatric Nursing for 10 years and have worked Physical Medicine and Rehab for the past 5 yrs. Life is too short and nursing is too autonomous not to love what you do for a living.
