Patient education

Anyone have a good resource for pt ed that is rehab focused? My facility had some really good pt handouts, but the info is really outdated now. We are currently reviewing our education and are having trouble finding easy to understand pt ed.

Take what the facility has, use the 'priceless' information, clip art for photos, and online research for newer information. Then make the form yourself, listing the refrences on the bottom in a footnote."adapted from type footnote.

The only forms that are free, are the ones you create. Otherwise you need to invest in a book.
I have
Restorative Nursing for Long Term Care by Deborah Collins...
Remember that I am LTC, but it came with a disk, and inservices for staff, as well as ROM handouts and other great info. for residents too.

And check out this website.. maybe it will help...
it was helpful to me for alternative languages.

Right now I am looking for this book...

Restorative & Rehabilitation Nursing Programs: A Three Phase Approach With Application to Medicare Pps (Hardcover)

I just want to read it, I know it is old, but no other book with a description like it, that I have found.

good luck.
