What would make most sense for me?

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

Right now I'm in my 3rd semester at a 4 year school still taking my gen ed classes because when I started I wasn't sure yet what I wanted to do however now I know I want to do nursing. My school has a nursing program however I'd have to start taking my gen eds almost completely over again and it would take at least two years before I could even apply

to the program. I don't have enough credits for it to make sense to just major in something else either. Plus our nursing program is extremely competitive and only 20 people get in each year of over 100 who apply.

The technical school in my town has a well respected and accredited ADN program, I'd still have to take a few more pre reqs but not as many and some of my classes would transfer over. There is a waiting list for clinicals however if I start doing my pre reqs there next semester i can be put on the list and by the time I'm ready to petition I'll have a good chance of getting in right away. I would go for my BSN soon after graduating. However I'm not sure how easily i could find a job around here with an ADN (southeastern Wisconsin) and I don't want to graduate and not be able

to find a job until I get my BSN. If I stay where I am and do my pre reqs over and apply and don't get accepted to the program I'd have to wait another year or apply to the tech schools program and I'd be on the waiting list even longer. Any input? I'm leaning toward the ADN but just scared of not finding a job
