Use of "BSN"

A classmate had brought up that we graduated with a BS with a major in Nursing and not a BS in Nursing. Is the use of "BSN" after your name used for both degrees?

I don't understand what the distinction is.

It's the same thing.

BSN = Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

I dont understand the question. Typically any Bach is going to have a specialty attached, especially science degrees.

Ok, what impeccable timing. I just received a call from a potential employer who only wanted to clarify whether or not my degree was a BSN or if it was a BS with a concentration in nursing. Who is sitting around coming up with these technicalities to complicate the profession even moreso than it already is? I so wanted to ask what is the difference, but didn't want to question my way out of a potential interview so soon. Amazing!
