Hello!!! I just got accepted to the Texas Tech Traditional BSN program in Abilene. I am super excited to get started this fall!

I wanted to know if any of you had any advice to give me? Anything you know now, that you wish you knew then? Anything that helped you get through it? Thank you!

Start applying for jobs early. I am graduating this May with my BSN and I was sure I was going to get into my desired residency at the hospital I currently work at, but they chose people with "experience" in nursing school in that field over people who just wanted to work there. Then I found out a lot of other residencies in the area closes applications in March, and it was too late for me to apply to them so I'm going to have to relocate somewhere when I wasn't planning on leaving this area yet. You need to start job searching in January or February of your senior year. That's probably the biggest thing I wish I'd know.

    Also, congratulations!
