Anyone considering Hopfer School of Nursing...

Hi All,

I just joined this nursing forum so forgive me if this question was already asked but I am considering ADN program over BSN programs because I already possess a B.S in psychology and I want to start working already but my question is has anyone considered/or applied to the Hopher School of Nursing for Spring 2010 admission? If so what have you heard about the program? Lastly, what expectations do you have? At this point in my life I am very confused to what school and I am rather limited because I work 40 hrs a week and I can not quit my job because I do have a son and apartment expenses to maintain. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a nursing school within NYC that would be great aside from Hopher evening/weekend program that I could apply to?.

Hey Nalaa 829! I'm in the same situation as you are. I am looking at Hopfer School of Nursing as well. I have my B.S in Business/Marketing and recently went back to school to pursue a degree in Nursing (RN). I did hear good things about Hopfer. It is a small, private nursing school, but offers a great program. I know someone that went there and loved it. My question to you is, have you completed all the pre-requisite courses? It is important to get all those out of the way, then apply. That way you will be on the best track. Also, Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers, NY also has a great evening and weekend program. I also work, so I am looking into other options too, to have a back-up plan. Good luck on your journey.
