Hi I am wondering how people would rate their experiences or opinions of people they know who have been through either a four year BSN program versus an accelerated bachelors program for an RN.

I am currently in a 4 year university for my BSN but due to unfortunate circumstances I am having to drop nursing and go into another major. I am choosing nuclear medicine- and by having a degree in this i know would be a good foundation as well to going into an accelerated nursing program after, if i so choose.

What I am curious to know is if others feel that the accelerated program is less than hard, equivalently hard, or more hard, than the BSN program. Nursing school apparently has a reputation of being sticklers to weed out students and having of putting on a lot of pressure. As I am finding out...

If people have had good or better experiences with an accelerated program and felt that it was more centered around learning and becoming more truly competent in the information, and having less than a terrible experience with professors and instructors intentionally making it difficult- I'd like to know, if this would be a better option for me in the long run.

    Thanks!
