Hmmm, don't quite understand the question re: moving the pts around on the table. During a BE or UGI exam the technologist helps position the pt for the imaging, under the Radiologist's direction (or per established protocol, which is always subject to change, depending on exam).
The Radiologic Technologist is specially trained to position pts for exams and obtain the images. Don't need special orders for routine exams, e.g., CXRs, spine series, knee X-rays, etc. Each hospital's Radiology Dept should have protocols for the different exams. Interventional Radiology and Angio are somewhat different.
