PI Specialist or Documentation Specialist?

This is a discussion on PI Specialist or Documentation Specialist? in Quality Improvement, part of Nursing Specialties ... Just curious...which role is considered to be a move up? Or are they considered lateral moves? ...

Just curious...which role is considered to be a move up? Or are they considered lateral moves? For example if one were to start in the PI role and a documentation role came open would that be a move up?
