Need Pulmonary office advise

by CarrieH

My manager wants to send me to work with the pulmonary thoracic surgeon (in his office) for the next few weeks. I've only worked with him once before and it was a pretty uneventful day. All my experience is in primary care and cardiology.

Any advise/online resources?

I've been told that most of my job will be administrative and I don't expect the clinical side to be much more than vital signs and wound care, but he did ask one of my co-workers to clean a chest tube when she worked with him last week (and he showed her how to do it). I'm a quick learner, but it would be nice to have a clue before any "instruction" so I don't look like a total idiot.
