MA going for Externship w/ Pulmonologist! HELP!!!

Hello Everyone,

I am pretty new on this site and I see you guys are very informative. Well I am a about to finish my Medical Assistant program, but I still need to finish my Externship.
I need some advice please!They just told me on Friday that I will be placed at a Pulmonologist office.
What are the MA's duties there. I know I will be dealing with sputum and I dont know how I will do in this area. I was more intrested in Endocrinology or Oncology but I think its too late in the game to change were I've been placed.

Any advice is appreciated
