As you read this, teaching hospitals nationwide are struggling to make ends meet and may be forced to cut vital services for our families.
When Congress balanced the budget in the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 (BBA), it cut funding and unintentionally hurt teaching hospitals, home to more than half of all pediatric intensive care units, 61 percent of regional trauma centers, and 70 percent of all burn care units. If Medicare cuts continue, Americans stand to lose the urgent health care services they depend on. You can stop the cuts. Please send a message to Congress and keep our families and teaching hospitals healthy.
