Pediatric DNP Student with a public health passion seeking post grad help

I am a Pediatric BSN-DNP student with a passion for public health seeking guidance on what to do after I gaduate as far as jobs (I graduate in 1 year but wanted to get a headstart). I will also be obtaining a public health certificate upon graduation. My school advisor has suggested joining USPHS or the CDC, but I don't know which to choose. Are they the same entities or different? Suggestions or advice for the newbie as the right pathway to take?
