New-grad nurse working in homecare for 2 years. Any advice transitioning to hospital?

  1. I've worked as a visiting nurse for the last two years and loved it. The hours are unbeatable, I get to practice a wide array of skills, and my scope as an RPN in Ontario is much larger than it would be in the hospital.

All of that aside I'm getting tired of the low pay and on-call shifts so I'm looking into switching to the hospital. I'm a little nervous and feel like I may not have what it takes.

Any advice on making the switch?

Burno - Are you happy that you tried homecare first? I am interested in homecare nursing but am wondering if it will limit me if I wanted to move into something else.
    Thanks!
