Hiring Freezes?

by anna565

Hello all,

I have just accepted a HH position, hoping that someday this will lead me to PHN'ing. Since all the hiring freezes here in No. Cal., I thought a bit of HH exp. will help me be more qualified for PH and help me decide if I'll really like it (d/t the similarities in the abundance of paperwork, argh!).

Here in California, we have had to deal with massive budget cuts, especially to social services. So my question is to the PH nurses out there, what have you heard about the hiring freezes, how long will they last?
Is it smart of me to go into HH or do you all favor more hospital experience instead?

Muchas gracias!!!
