by ChineseLantern Nov 29, '11I am a new graduate nurse who is interested in going into psych. I've applied to tons of jobs, but no luck so far...I'm beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with my resume that is putting people off! So, I was just wondering if any experienced psych nurses on this board might be willing to take a look at it and let me know what you think? I would really, really appreciate it!

- Dec 5, '11 by MrsTazSure, psych nursing was my 1st job out of school 3 years ago, not that it was what I wanted to do but because it was the only place that was hiring new grads. I started off in an adolescent residential treatment center for a year, then moved to acute psych for kids aged 5-21 which I really enjoyed but due to a new company take over I left. So now I'm working at my state's psych hospital with NGRI's(not guilty by reason of insanity) pts. which surprisingly I enjoy. What state do you reside?

I actually just finished school, so I am hoping to relocate...I'm looking in the mid-Atlantic region (Baltimore, DC, or Philadelphia areas).
