Working in a Community Mental Health Setting (PACT, CBFS, etc)?

by ivyleaf

Hi all! This is related to the "advice on which job to take" post.

I am hoping to get some info on what it is like to work as a nurse as part of a community mental heath agency, as part of a team doing pt education, medication/medical advising, case mangement, etc.

The position I am considering seems similar to the PACT model/Community Based Flexible Supports (CBFS).

I would love to hear about your experience in this type of work!

Also, is it something someone with only 2 years of PT/PD (psych) nursing experience (and 3.5 years of mental health experience, and a BA in psychology) could manage?

Thanks again,

Ivy
