by lynds80 Jan 12Hi, I am a new BSN grad and accepted a position in a psych unit. I really enjoy my psych patients. Do psych nurses have a hard time getting other experience after working on a psych unit? I just don't want to limit myself or feel restricted to only psych. Thanks!

I know a lot of nurses who were able to go to non-psych jobs after their time in psych. IMO, you're only limited in psych if you let yourself be limited. If you do find yourself wanting to try other things out, what will help is if you keep up your non-psych skills through CEUs, per-diem work, continuing ed, etc. - Jan 12 by lynds80Thanks
I actually really enjoy it. Do you know where I can keep on with my medical ceu's from? Will a medical floor hire me tiem with psych experience?
