I have a sistuation with a patient who owns her own home. She is depressed, very dependent and has allowed her neighbors to slowly incringe on her independence. They started off by being"helpful", then went to parking their cars on her property, back-hoing her front lawn, wanting her to put up homeless people, now suggesting she sign over her house to them (or their church) This is all according to the patient, and I believe her. there r even past references to all this back in her chart.
So, other than counceling her to set limits, keep bondaries, say NO, etc., what do I have to go in in order to get these people investigated.
I have set her up with a case manager, but I hate it when people take advantage of someone who is in a pitiful situation. My patient also says that her neighbors are part of a church psych. rehab home that is all over the country. Any suggestions???
