:roflmao:

I shouldnt be laughing, but this is what you get when you take the easy way out.

As one commenter on the video said, there are community colleges that cost far less in the area that these ladies could have attended.

These for-profit schools seek out people who don't want to work through 1 to 2 years of prereqs and 1 to 2 years of rotations. They want their degree and good pay RIGHTNAH! And Lord forbid you try to tell them that it's a rip off, they look at you like you have snakes coming out of your neck.

On the flip side of that, these schools are especially predatory and they are wrong for manipulating the poor and unaware. But a lot of personal responsibility lies on these ladies.

I agree, it does.

I do not agree with nor condone the school's practices, but the fact is that the students are AOx4 adults and should know that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

They should have thoroughly investigated Everest and their claims/promises before voluntarily deciding to go there. And it's not Everest's fault if the students were unable or unwilling to pursue other options...they can grouse all they like, but no one forced these students to sign on Everest's dotted line.

I attended a private Lvn program that was very imperfect. And it was more expensive that that. However, I was able to find a job.

Buyer beware.

It sucks they have/had to go through that. But I did laugh when I heard the daycare LOL. That's funny lol..... I wonder what they did, for hands on experience there :-)

So, "clinical sites are subject to change" can mean change of site from hospital to daycare?

And I wonder how the Scientology community likes being the psych rotation? :roflmao:

What a hard, expensive lesson.

To be fair, there are medical daycares out there, as well as children with chronic health conditions that attend daycare.

I worked in a medical daycare for many years with children ranging form post OP cardiac surgery, halos, trach/vent patients, halos, skin grafting, to NGT, and GT feedings a medications; we also had to milestone assess as well as teachers who ran the classrooms so that the children can get assessed and mainstreamed to public school.

PN, BSN and NP students from reputable programs and universities rotate through the facility.

Just putting it out there that they are such facilities that give great experiences for nursing students as well as the nurses who worked there and moved into acute care hospitals due to the reputation and relationships with local children's hospitals (including myself).

Now, granted, this may have not been the setting and scenarios that I have described, and these facilities certainly have no business running an operation like this.

Just glad there is (FINALLY) a crackdown on these ridiculous programs.

LOL I forgot the comment about scientology. I bet they would be ticked

Yeah doesn't sound like they went there

I agree with the above poster. Good post LadyFree. A school that is lacking in so many things would never have the sense to get a clinical at a classy site like the one you described. The Everest college in my city shut down after 2 years.
