Do other disciplines within psych interest you?

i will always be a loyal nursing advocate..but i must admit that i am interested in other disciplines within the psychiatric domain. in team meetings, i am very impressed by and intrigued with the psychologists, social workers, psycho-educators, rehab specialists, etc.

i definitely intend on furthering my education..but i am a little frustrated with nursing..i understand we work from a holistic model, but in 2 years (my schooling was only 14 mo - acc bsn) we are expected to be highly trained/educated in physiology/physical disease, pharmacology, clinical skills, and psychiatric diseases/interventions. i am just interested in the latter. the last thing i want to do is add prescription priveleges!

so i am not sure psych cns/np is for me...but enough about moi i am really interested in whether or not other people experience interest in other disciplines too? also any advice/insight is appreciated.
