Cornell Method For Restraints

  1. The hospital I work at is considering going to the Cornell method (not sure that is actual title) for dealing with patient restraints. Does anyone out there use this technique at their hospital and if so is it effective. Thanks.

Never heard of it but if you find out what it is, I'd be interested in finding out more as I've worked in mental health for 20 some years now

You may be referring to "TCI" or Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. This is a non-violent system which I believe was developed by someone at Cornell University.
