    My Experience

I have used the Eko stethoscope for a few months now. I use it daily to assess cardiac patients and it works well. The amplification is adequate to hear through a layer of clothes and still determine if there is a murmur or adventitious sounds.

    Pros: What did you like?

Amplification - adequate, battery life is more than adequate. I have owned several other electronic stethoscopes and while they worked great when the battery was charged, if the battery was not charged, you did not have a useable stethoscope. This can result in frantic running through the hospital looking for a battery.

    Cons: What didn't you like?

It is VERY easy to turn the diaphragm and would be nice if it was a little stiffer and more difficult to turn. The weight of the stethoscope is a little more than a regular stethoscope but not unbearably so. The little door where you charge it seems flimsy. However, I have talked to the manufacturer and they are re-doing that part of the design.

    Things To Know

Overall, I feel it is a good value for the money.
