Maybe you should try posting in the California forum? They might know specific agencies in your area.

When I wanted to start doing private duty several years ago now, I simply updated my resume and wrote a cover letter, and sent it to just about every agency in my area! I landed my first case that way which I worked for 2 and 1/2 years.

Or just make cold calls to agencies asking if they have private duty cases. That is how I got my second case, and I have been on this case almost a year.

Are you brand new to private duty? Make sure you go with a reputable agency. Ask questions! Can end up in a mess otherwise. A nurse I know worked for an agency that was not filling Medicaid paperwork properly. And the NURSE was accused of Medicaid fraud. She had to pay for her own lawyer and fight it!
