Overnighters... I'm sure Netflix is your BFF during your down time. What instant watch titles do you like? Right now I've been working through Dr. Who for the last month, and the last series I blew through was the new season of Arrested Development. What do you watch? What do you recommend?

I'm on the fence about this thread in this topic, but down-time is a part of life on overnight PDN work, and this does fall into the realm of supporting each other! ;D

I started watching House of Cards last week and I can't stop watching it. The second season came out just last week so it's going to be a loooong wait until new episodes. I wish they'd come out once a week instead of all at once, I need to pace myself!

Never got Netflix. Biggest time killer has been use of the internet. Kind of careful with that because even if the client family says it is ok, there is always that uneasy feeling generated if they see me with a diversionary activity. So, I will bring a book instead, and try to wait until the middle of the shift before I bring it out.

Yes, nearly every family that I've worked for that claimed they were ok with diversionary activities ended up proving that, they were in fact, most definitely NOT ok with it.

oh, goodness, I bounce around on Netflix... favorite is Bones (meaning I restarted it from season 1 about 2 months ago and just got to season 9 last week, despite having seen the entire series at least twice!), That 70's Show if I want something funny, if I want absolutely hilarious I go for Scrubs. Call the Midwife is great. once in awhile I do a documentary series of some sort (The Blue Planet is good). Just started watching Numbers, Law and Order SVU and CSI are in the queue... I am eclectic!
