How much should I charge?

I was recently offered a position to go to a private home and give insulin shots a few times a day. I don't have to stay for an hour and do anything else, just give the shot. How much should I charge per shot as an RN? Thanks in advance for your answers!

What would a private agency cost? Will this be 7 days a week? Do you have the proper liability/malpractice insurance to cover any potential adverse event?

I'm not sure how much a private agency would cost. I'll be going 7 days a week, for 10 days only. I do not have .

I wouldn't work a single shift without my private . Never trust anyone, employer or client, to have your back. Either has the potential to totally throw you under the bus if it suited them.

Then do not take the job. Your premium will be higher as an independent contractor not an agency employee. But if something goes wrong, you don't have a physician signed plan of care in place, you implement an order from an APN or pa-c rather than an MD or DO, you will be professionally and personally liable. protects you and your license from legitimate and fruitless claims, it offers legal advice if you have to appear before the BoN, coverage for providing depositions.

Decline the job as you are not covered. It's not worth the risk.

Thank you everyone for the comments! I really appreciated the advice and concern, and I will definitely get insurance before I agree to any offers.
