Who started studying yet?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I know most of you are getting ready to start school in a week or 2. I was just wondering who has started studying in advance. I told myself I was going to study in advance but it has not happened yet and I start on Monday. shame on me lol! hope it does not bite me in the butt with the two biology classes I have to take.

I mean already..not yet..smh

*raises hand* I actually just finished outlining the first 4 chapters of my A&P book. I also did the first few chapters of my microbiology book last week. I'm taking a 2 week public speaking class so I haven't had a lot of time to "pre-study" but I think I'm doing alright. For A&P and Micro I wanted to make sure I had a head start on the first month so I could continue to work ahead.

I am flipping through the chapters, and viewing the CD for Human Physiology, and reading a couple of chapters ahead of time for an online class starting this Mon. Getting all my ducks in a row... House is clean, car is clean, fresh flash cards are ready, pens, markers, paper, a box of Tums, tons of frozen foods for cooking in, rose brushes are trimmed outside, and anything else to keep my mind focused when school becomes my life for the next 4 months! :geek: Oh, ya...

Not me, lol. I'm enjoying the last week of my winter break before my classes start on the 22nd. I'll have plenty studying to do once classes begin, so I plan to enjoy the last of my time off while I still can (because once classes begin, I'll be begging for a vacation, lol).

I second this!

Starting some chemistry over the weekend so I'm not too lost when I do HW for the 1st class that's in 2 weeks. Also some English as well, but chemistry is the main focus.

I third this. Lol

I started a little early. The first four chapters of a role transitions book, reviewed some pharm. and thought I would review my skills book over the next few days.

I have. I take the HESI today and then will spend the next week and a half before school starts reading my A & P 2 text. The teacher for the class also taught me A & P 1 so I asked her what unit we will be starting off in. I definitely can't wait to start... I get so bored after awhile on these long breaks.

Funny you should post this, I was just going to go to my classes web page to write down the chapters we will be going over in the first week of class. I've flipped/skimmed through the power points that the teacher has posted online but haven't actually read them.

I haven't had a break in taking classes in around 3 years. This winter break is the first! And honestly, I'm bored silly. I don't know what to do with myself, I can only clean my house floor to ceiling and in between so many times. Finally, I'll be starting my last semester of the program in 10 days...come on May!! :)

Specializes in Surgical.

I just read and outlined the first chapter of each of my books. I don't like to get too ahead of myself because I'm never sure what the professors are going to assign. I've done this in the past and then my professors have skipped the first three chapters! Very annoying, but I still find its helpful to broach whatever subject you'll be studying.

Also this is my last break for the next year and a half with the ABSN program. I mean I might have 4-5 days between semesters. I'm trying to enjoy my time off as much as possible now before work and school begins again. Good luck to you this semester!
