Where and when can I take the PAX-RN

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi all,

I'm considering a career change later in life to nursing. I am having a hard time finding out where and when I can take the NLN RN pre-admission test. I have bought the study guide, and been to the NLN website and have even tried to register for the test but can't figure out how often the test is given and where. I know I need to arrange to speak with a admissions counselor at one of the schools here but I'm trying to do some legwork in advance. I am hoping to start taking some classes (probably non matriculated since it's kind of late) starting in January.

Thanks in advance.

Jonathan

Wow, no one has any advice on this?

Specializes in ICU/UM.

Many schools allow you to take it at their assessment centers (self scheduled, test via computer, instant results) or it'll list places and dates if you register online. I took mine a couple of years ago (almost 3 ) so that is at least how it used to be.
