What was your GPA when you got accepted?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Next year in February I will be applying for nursing school for Fall '14. I'm just curious to know what some of the GPA's were when you were accepted. Thanks in advance.

Specializes in ICU.

My gpa when I got accepted was a 3.57.

Is anyone else here feeling a little discouraged by all these 4.0s?? lol

ALL THE TIME! Sometimes schools don't go by the gpa but a point system. I know a fellow classmate that had a 3.9 and was sure she would get into the program but she didn't due to the point system

Specializes in home health.

I have a 3.0 as it sits right now being accepted but this semester isnt over, ive been pullimg this thing up from a .75 i received 5 years ago.

I had a 2.85 GPA (24 years ago) for my BS. Then had a 3.65 when I got my MA. Then took AP 1 and 2, Micro, Bio, Chemistry, Lifespan, Bioethics and Religion and had a 4.0 in all of those, all within the past 18 months. The two BSN programs for which I applied both said my GPA was weak but were both happy that they saw progression in my MA and that I could handle the science classes.

Just got into a nursing masters program

Gpa= 3.38

Sciences= 3.66

My school seems to take a "holistic" approach when reviewing applicants... They look at previous healthcare experiences, the personal statements, they see if a students gpa went progressively upwards etc...

Specializes in Psychiatry.

3.75 overall

4.0 math/science

Got into 2 BSN programs, waiting to hear back from an ASN I applied to as a backup. Over the moon that I got in to my dream school!!!
