What to do while on the waiting list?

  1. I am not yet on the waiting list, but it is inevitable. 150+ students applied for the program at my school which only had 20 available sets (40 total but 20 had been reserved for students on the previous list)
In the nursing office they said that they got up to 35 on the waiting list. That means that there are some 100+ people still on the waiting list for next year which means when I apply this spring I will probably be # 200 something or more!!! :angryfire I project a 2 or 3 year wait, at least!
After this semester, in the spring I will take my last English course and a history course. I will then be done with what I need at the lower division level (although I will already have an AS degree after I complete stats this semester). My plan is to go up to the UC and get those 9 upper division units out of the way, but that will take a mere semester.
I guess I will have to go back to work full-time until I get in the program. Maybe take some foreign language. What are you doing while you are on the waiting list?

Since you will be done with all your classes for your BSN, studying a foreign lanuage and working sounds like a great idea. You could earn some cash while you wait.

3 years on a list??? WOW I would go crazy!

I have plenty of pre-reqs to get out of the way. I'm also planning on becoming fluent in Spanish and sign language.

I will find out soon if I made it in or not. If I do get stuck on the waiting list, I plan to live my life normally as I have. Continue working, volunteering and school. I will be done with all my pre-reqs by the end of this semester SO.......I am seriously considering taking my BSN pre-reqs.

    Good luck.

Have you thought about splitting the classes you have left to take into 2 semesters to kill a little more time?
