Whadja Get For Xmas From Hubbie?

Merry Christmas all!
I got a little over a 1/2 karat diamond ring for Christmas with 24 little stones around it, well he says it's for Christmas, my birthday, our anniversary, Valentines day, 4th of July, the kids' birthdays and next Christmas. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Hey I'd have to argue that one. My hubby gave me an anniversary band 5 years ago for our 25th anniversary. He paid $1,250 for it and he gave me the same song and dance. I told him that was only $50 per year and he was getting off dirt cheap. He never mentioned it again! :kiss

I got 4 DVDs, a new calendar, and a bunch of lotions and soaps and baskets from Bath and Body Works from my hubby. :) I bought him a sweater, necktie, cologne, hat, gloves and a gift certificate to Borders.

I got a 2006 nissan pathfinder from hubby.Brother owns a store with car alarms,tinted windows, all that stuff, is going to trip it out for me. Also got from brother serveral new outfits from my favorite store (ann taylor loft) and inexpensive jewerly. Great christmas but I'm ready too see it gone..

My husband has apparently spent the last several months paying for jewelry on layaway.. when we were married in April I told him that my engagement ring and wedding band were my first "real" jewelry... he bought me a freestanding jewelry box for my birthday along with a peridot ring/necklace/earring set (this was in August). Well... for Christmas I got a GORGEOUS heavy bracelet with flowers made of gemstones alternating from garnet flower to blue topaz to citrine to amethyst to peridot all set in 14K gold, a stunning ruby cross necklace in gold, a gold, ruby and diamond ring, a gold, diamond and emerald ring (he got red and green since it's Christmas) and a pink sapphire and gold ring! I am still overwhelmed... plus he had his daughter (my stepdaughter) give me a gold and diamond heart pinky ring that I know he paid for...

Get back girls, he's mine!!! :chuckle

hehehe, i got my "present" early this year. yesterday, hubby hands me a 25.00 gift card for target and gives me the "it's not much but i don't have much time or money" speech. i don't mean to sound ungrateful but it's the same gift card that his boss handed him (not much time or effort involved.) a fitting gift for a marriage in trouble, i guess.
i decided to make the best of it and bought myself a black tote bag for my schoolbooks and a black dayplanner to match.

oh that sucks! a marriage might be in trouble but if that is the course he took, then i hardly see how it will get any better! the jerk! okay sorry i am done venting on him.

my boyfriend has given me the chance to go back to school and not carry a full time job, i do have a job over summer i can work around my classes and i do odd jobs for folks but that is it. so, i really wasn't expecting much for christmas. i was very surprized to find a gift certificate for a day spa! i get to go and have a total girly day!!! along with some other little things so i was very floored! all my fears of people not liking or being happy with their reduced gifts was really for nothing. everyone seemed just very happy to have all of us get together, so i felt a bit ashamed to think folks would be upset over material goods. i love my family and friends!

My hubby bought me a camera (which I needed to replace my 12 year old camera since you have to hold the batteries in with your fingers so you can take the picture:D ), a nightgown from victoria secrets, the super soft robe that I have been wanting, and we are going shopping this week for a PDA!!! I am so excited! I got him the leather coat he's been wanting for 10 years and a craftsman 3 tier toolbox (now to just get some tools, heehee).

It was a wonderful day! My kids have reached the age (finally) where we don't have to open every box and fight to get the toy out before they will even open another gift. This year was just rip, rip, rip!!!!

ps...MIL gave me a handmade diamond and sapphire bracelette with a matching necklace! The bracelette is so heavy and must have at least 15 sapphires and triple that of diamonds. Holy moly!

We usdually don't do gifts, just for the kids. This year we also said no gifts. Well he surprised me with a heart shaped pendant with a tanzanite and diamonds- he said I was due :)
