    Congratulations kschafer!

dsb_fam: I think you still have a really good chance of getting in to the accelerated program! A lot of times people apply to multiple schools and will have to reject their spot or things come up in life that prevent them from accepting their spot. I know it's still disappointing though.

My deadline was January 15, got my letter about a month later, but wasn't expecting to hear until March 1. So prolly middle of April or so for you, I'm guessing? I hope time flies for you, lala!

Reading all the responses I'm even more nervous than ever. I don't get a reply until aprx. the first week of April, so I am sweating bullets until then.

Hi guys - Congratulations to those who have received acceptance letters!! Way to go I applied to the Middlesex County College Nursing Program in Edison NJ for Fall 2013.. They arent sending any letters out until April which is totally killing me! Every free minute that I have in the day, I think about it. This program only accepts 90 and about 800 apply. My stomach turns to knots everytime i think about not getting accepted. Does anyone else feel like this? I applied to 3 programs total and If I dont get accepted, Im not sure what my next plan is :/

That's when I should hear back from my school! I'm going crazy waiting. Our application had to be in Feb 15th; I completed the TEAS and submitted my application on February 14th. Thankfully, I don't have longer to wait for an answer.

I'm sure there are a lot of people that feel just like you, including myself. I'm not sure how many people apply to the program I've applied to, but there are only 60 seats & the program only starts in the Fall. Every time I think about how competitive nursing programs are, I get a little sick. I know I will be devastated if I'm not accepted, but it's certainly not the end of the road! Good luck to you!!

Grats to those who have been accepted and good luck to everyone!

    hello
i am from Washington state.. currently finishing my last pre-req (O-chem).. I'm in the same boat as you all - the waiting period is killing me slowly! i applied to 6 programs (5 accelerated BSN and 1 traditional BSN).. just 1 is in-state, but i have been preparing to move ever since i started this process and am kind of looking forward to a new experience! i won't hear back from any of these programs until mid-late March/early April.. i've been denied by 1 school already so i'm hoping that i get in to at least ONE of the 5 left! most have multiple start dates (they consider you for summer/fall start, accelerated/traditional) but of course, that doesn't guarantee anything. other than school work, i constantly check my email and mailbox like many of you "just in case" something pops up early! this is a good experience for testing patience!

Thank you! Knowing that there are other people out there feeling the same way really puts me at ease. I hate the waiting process so much. I hope we all get in!! I cant tell you how much research I've done on the programs I applied to... and just reading on peoples stories on why they didnt get into the program makes me so nervous. I just want it to be April!!!!!

I applied to two schools. One I already got a rejection letter from. The admission requirements for that particular school are 1) you have to be able to take Eng Comp I and 2) you have to be able to enter AnP I. No tests or math requirements. My biggest gripes are 1) I have a Bachelor's degree in Human Services/Counseling already, so obviously I am a bit beyond Comp I, 2) I have already taken both AnP I and II and got a B+ in both, 3) I have all the classes except the actual Nursing I, II, etc completed, all with grades of B's and A's. I have a 3.5 GPA from my Bachelor's program, so what the heck?! I am frustrated and dejected beyond belief. I applied to nursing school 11 years ago and was very, very unqualified for admission, but I was only a 19 year old single mother with no education beyond high school and I just didn't know how the world worked yet. Since then I have worked my butt off earning my Bachelor's and completing my math and science classes for nursing at the same time; finally 11 years later I have all the work done and found the courage to start applying again and I still get rejected? ANNOYING!! I just don't understand some things. Okay I guess I'm done with my rant. Good luck to everyone else I hope you all get better news :'(
