Waiting on acceptance/rejection letters

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am a nervous wreck waiting on whether or not I am accepted to my school's nursing program for this fall 2013, and thought that starting this thread may be able to keep myself and others company......:nailbiting:....Please feel free to write anything while we wait.

I'm also waiting. Applied at the end of January and should hear by the end of February or beginning of March, so hopefully only 2-3 more weeks of waiting for me! I just keep telling myself "It's only the middle of February." while compulsively checking my email and the mailbox. I hope everyone gets an acceptance letter :)

I am in Missouri and only applied to one school, so I'm a little nervous about that.

YAY Congrats CaraKristin!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck Amber!! I know what it is like...

I have already been accepted to 1 of my top 2 choices. However, I have to submit my nonrefundable deposit by March 1. The other school I applied to had a deadline of Jan 18 with a 4-6 week notification and I run to my mailbox daily. It hasn't even been 4 weeks, but I am just too anxious!!

I'm in the same boat as you! I applied around the same time and cannot wait to receive notice from them! Good luck to all!

Specializes in CMSRN, hospice.

You got this, Amber! I only applied to one too - it just makes the waiting period more exciting. :-P Hopefully they will get a move on with the letters very soon.

Do all the stuff you won't get to do once you're accepted! I've been going to the gym/exercising, eating out with friends and family, planning a vacation, and reading lots of good books. :) Make a list and get to work! No time to waste!

Good idea!

When the waiting results in only more waiting....AHHHHH

I anxiously checked my mail box every day last week...and Saturday the letter finally came. However, I was wait listed. So basically it simply means more waiting!!!! The worst part is - the program starts in August and all the letter could say is that I would know no later than 1 month prior. So I could be waiting for months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got a Supplemental Application to one of my schools! One step closer!

I've been kept busy with school and extracurricular things. Hope you all are doing well!

Such a nerve-racking wait!! I only applied for one BSN program. My pre-rec gpa is a 3.92, but I was a horrible student in my early years and they factor in all classes from all schools and don't do grade replacement, so my cumulative is going to be significantly lower (STILL waiting for NursingCAS to calculate!), which makes me nervous!! Made a 92.8 on my TEAS, 5 letters of recommendation from nurses, charge nurses, and clinical managers I have worked with, and almost 6 years working in hospital ICUs/ER. My school of choice doesn't do interview, they concider the personal statement to be your interview, and I feel like mine was pretty good. I feel like I've done everything I can to make my application as good as possible, now just waiting!! It was due Feb 1st, and won't hear anything until mid-march at the earliest, beginning of Feb at the latest.
