waiting for LPN program - what classes to take?

I'm planning on starting the LPN program here but the next opening isn't until next October!!! Ugh. I already have an associates degree, along with med terms, and a&p, plus my CNA and CPR cert. The tech school where I'm going to do the PN program doesn't have any recommendations for classes to take in the mean time. I'm looking at doing the science classes I will need to eventually do RN, but was wondering other class ideas you guys have? I was thinking about some psychology classes and maybe sign language because I'm just interested in it.

I would look around for LPN-ADN or LPN-BSN bridge programs near you and see what classes they both have in common. You never know what you will wan to do in the future.

I've seen many schools requiring Intro to Psychology and Developmental Psychology. Microbiology may be one to look into, as well as A&P 2. (If your A&P is offered in 2 semesters.)

Hi-

One class that I plan on taking if I ever get any "extra" time is Spanish. I took it in high school (don't remember much) and its one thing that will ALWAYS come in useful in nursing in the U.S.....

I already have into to psych and dev psych. As for micro and a&p, I have to first take bio for majors. I took A&P previously but the schools around here won't accept it, it needs to be taken separately. For the spring I'm planning bio for majors and chemistry to get those out of the way. I would like something else for fun though. I've already taken spanish.

For fun? Bowling! lol

Let's see.....

*Speech communications

*Pharmacology (it may not transfer, but will be good to get a heads up on it.)

*Freshman English...always good to get revamped on your writing skills.

*Music or Art Appreciation (possible Humanities elective)

Also, you could take a CNA course through a local CC to get CNA certified while you wait. This will also be beneficial for when you are in your LPN program. (Time restraints may hinder you though, since you're taking two other classes.)
