Yes, I'm talking about their BSN program. Most people doing their BSN program vs. their MSN program don't have a choice. We have to do their BSN program before their MSN program! I'm a transfer student straight out of a community college and thus I have no AA, AS, BA, BS or whatever else. So I'm trying to get into a generic (traditional) BSN program. I will later on apply for an MSN program.

OK now that makes sense. I think an earlier poster threw me off when that person started talking about the UCSF MEPN program. That poster had the wrong school and the wrong degree.

Thanks for clarification.

blue I am in the same position as you: coming out of community college with no degree. The costs is high as any other private school is but there are lots of grants and scholarships for nursing students; plus, I want a job and USF has a great reputation for new hire grads.

I believe the Micro is a 5 unit for semester, 6 unit for quarter system, at least at my quarter system college it is.

awesome! it looks like I'll be applying there for the same term (assuming I don't get in to the school I'm currently waitlisted for for fall 09)

is it hard/competitive to get into the BSN nursing program at USF?
or are all applicants admitted automatically?

FYI USF and UCSF are like across from each other. I would apply to USF, Samuel Merit, etc. but 50k a year is wayyyy too much.

I was going to apply for fall 09, but missed the deadline for the university application. If I don't get into a program this fall I will be making sure I have all the deadlines down in my calendar so i don't miss them. I will be applying to USF as well as as many schools as I can. I NEED to get in a program already...it's driving me crazy!!!

Average GPA for the prereqs is 3.5-3.6. They consider the application letter as well, so sometimes if GPA is lower USF considers your reasons for wanting to become a nurse as a factor when choosing you into the program.
