Hey guys, I know it's a little early, however, I decided to start this thread as the application process will be soon upon us.

How are you studying for the TEAS?

Wishing all the best! :)

Thank you!

Hey everyone,

I am applying to the Dallas Weekend/Evening Program for Fall 2018. I graduated from TWU in the spring of 2015 with my BS in Biology. I transferred to TWU my junior year so I don't get the TWU bump. I took pathophysiology in my undergrad made a B.

My stats are:

GPA: 3.5

Nursing Core GPA: should be 3.720

TEAS: 86.7 overall (Reading:87.2, Math:90.6, Science:93.6 and English:70.8)

I do have a prior bachelors so I get that bump.

The spread sheet is saying my total points are 51.13, is this considered to be competitive? I will apply this cycle regardless, just wondering if I should take the TEAS again.

Good luck to everyone this cycle.

Well my email is [email protected]

Just sent it to you!

Can you also send me the excel file as well please? [email protected].

Im also applying for fall 2018.

stats:

Nursing prereq GPA: 3.86

Havent taken TEAS yet

Have 2 previous bachelors degrees

Received a BS degree at TWU but didn't take the prereqs there, does that qualify for the twu bump?

Thank you!

Just sent it your way! You'll definitely get the bump for the previous bachelors degree but I think to qualify for the TWU bump you have to have at least 16 credit hours of your nursing core pre-reqs completed at TWU (16 hrs for post-bac, 32 hrs for undergraduates w/o a bachelors I think)

Hi can you send the excel sheet too. [email protected]

I am applying for Houston for Fall 2018

Teas score 84

and a science gpa of 3.7

My second time around :)

I didn't get into Dallas so hopefully Houston is different.

Goodluck !

Good luck to you.... I know you will do great.

wow I'm really devastated right now. i didn't realize you had to have all prereqs done before even applying. disappointing because i only have micro left to take in the spring and ive worked so hard to get a 4.0 in all of my coursework including sciences without retaking anything and i just found this out. twu dallas is my first choice and idk what to do.. any suggestions? idk what to do right now or even who to talk to :(

TWU is pretty straight forward that ALL nursing pre-reqs have to be completed by the deadline. The only thing I can think of is if your school has a "wintermester" you could take it then, but those are usually only 4 weeks long; and that's a lot of info to cram in 4 weeks for micro, but it is doable. I took micro in the summer in 8 weeks and manage to get an A but it was a lot. The other option would be to take it in the spring where you can focus a full semester and just apply for Spring 2019. I know that's a long time but I don't think its away around not having all pre-reqs done before applying, but you can always contact the school via phone or email.

I'm taking the TEAS this Saturday (8am) it will be my first time! Anyone have any comments about how the test is, is it "easier" than the practice test on the ATI website. I'm sooooo nervous LOL and I want to do good.

To me the test was not bad at all, if you brought the ATI practice book and did the practice questions you will be fine. The math is a breeze because of the use of a calculator. My advice would be to read the questions completely. Take your time but stay on pace to complete the exam. Go with your first choice and if you don't know something make logical answer choice eliminations. I really didn't study that much for the exam and I made a overall score of 86.7%. Good luck to you.
