Took practice exam...

Hi all -

I just took the practice TEAS exam at the ATI web-site. It was a package deal when I bought the new study guide. I really can't believe that my test will be as easy as that. Has anyone else taken it and also the official one? If so, how do you feel they compared?

I am thinking of taking my official one on Friday. I will definitely post with my results :)

Thanks in advance for any input!

Hi!

I'm planning on taking the TEAS on Friday, January 6. From reading other posts, it seems that the official test is a lot easier than it seems in the study manual. When I ordered the study manual, I was a little worried but after looking over it I am a little relieved, it really doesn't seem that bad. Are you taking it on Friday (today), or next Friday (Jan. 6). If you are taking it today, let me know how it goes and GOOD LUCK!!!

I with you both the best on your TEAS exam. :balloons: :)

Mandee - No, I am thinking of taking it the 6th, too! I have to check and see if my testing center is going to be open because classes don't reconvene until 1/9. However, I will let you know as soon as I find out. I will be praying for you whether I take it or not that day. Let me know your results :)

Angels' - Thanks for the good wishes. I will be sure and post when I get back.

12 years after graduation, I had to take that thing. Crammed on math on Sunday afternoon, took the test on Monday, only practice was looking through the sample test online to get an idea for what sort of math needed cramming on Sunday. I was shocked at how easy it was, honesty. But, I've noticed that those who graduated a long time ago, but still read jsut for fun, do way better than those who just graduated - it's like their high school education was not enough to prepare them for it.

ByTheLake,

I am so happy to hear that you thought the test was easy. I'm not really nervous about taking the test, but I guess I'm nervous about the whole application process of getting into the program I want. I just finished all of my prerequisites, so I can finally apply. I won't find out until the end of April if I'm in. My GPA is really good, so I am just hoping my test score will be good as well.

I wish you the best of luck getting in. Waiting (and waiting and waiting) to find out is just Sooo hard to do, isn't it???

Best of luck to you all

I'll be taking the TEAS soon. A question for those that have taken it, how bad was the algebra on the exam? While I tested out of remedial math at the school I'm doing pre-req's at (COMPASS exam), their exam was not timed, and I was allowed both pen and paper as well as a calculator. Since it's been almost 5 years since I've had algebra I'm wondering if review might be in order. BTW: My school won't consider you unless you have 50% minimum on the math portion. :uhoh3:

Hey everyone -

Well, IT'S ON!! My testing center will be open on Friday and I will be there bright & shiny to take my TEAS. I have found some great sites for reading comprehension and writing practice. Don't have a lot of time this morning - if you need them, pm me - otherwise, I will post them later today :)

I took the TEAS today. My school doesn't use it as a test for admissions. Instead, everyone admitted must take it before classes begin to give us a baseline to measure against later on. Also, it points out our areas of weakness that may need brushing up. I didn't study one iota and scored in the 99th percentile. :smokin: It showed that my math could use some brushing up, though. My last math class was calculus...20 years ago!
