TEAS Version 5

  1. 0 Could those of you who have recently taken the TEAS Version 5 post your scores, and more importantly the associated National and Program Means and Percentiles? I've sent a message to ATI asking for an updated report with current means and percentiles for the exam but have not heard back from them as of yet.

    My information from Mid-March

    Adjusted Individual 85.1

    Mean National 62%
    Mean Program 64.4%

    Percentile National 98
    Percentile Program 98

I'd just like to see if the numbers have changed much (or any) from where they were when I took the exam.

    Thanks

Hi, im going to take the teas test version 5 this week, and i dont have the book for the newer version of the test. Im only relying on the version 3.0/4.0 book. I just wanna ask, when u took the version v what area of science and math should i focus on? i dont really know if i should study the geology section or just study the anatomy&physio. Any advice will be helpful for me..

I took 5 today and it had several questions relating to the digestive and circulatory systems; tons of chem on there as well . I did have earth science questions on my exam, so it may be good to brush up on that even though version 5 book does not have tectonic plates in it. Basically, think back to all that you learned in 5th grade on up to physics, chem, and A&P, and know it in and out.

So know like the 3 types of Tectonic Plate Boundaries...?

do we need to know the types of rocks?

I think its unfair that they dont review that in the study guide but test us on that topic!

I remember nothing about actual rocks. Know how the digestive systems works, cranial nerves, kidney filtration and function, etc. I was very surprised at how many questions pertained to chemistry (and nothing like how many protons are in O). Lots of questions relating to DNA, RNA, functions of nucleic acids as well as parts and functions of a cell. Know kinetic and potential energy too!

I am too embarrassed to post my scores even though they were above the national average of 63.3 for all program types and 55.6 for LPN.

I just took it today- there wasn't anything about rocks or plates on my test. Science was all over the place but lots on covalent/polar covalent/ionic bonds... Purchase the study manual and study a lot and you will do fine. I rec'd 82% which is 93rd percentile nationally... I focused on math/language for studying because science is sooo broad. I did the worst in science at 67% but my school is looking for 60 or over in total score so I think 82 is good.

Did they give you any idea of when you should be hearing from them?
