TEAS or NET Study Guide Info

by NESHIA Premium Member

I found some great information for preparing to study....

If you find any information, please post it here for others to benefit from...

This website has some great info for the basics of whatever test (you will have to login, but it doesn't ask for email so don't worry about spam)
This site has a lot of useful information, from clep info to graduate school info. It even has Toefl info
http://www.learnatest.com/LEL/index.cfm/learningCenter/jobsCareers/NURSING/Nursing_Practice_Entrance_Exams_LEL

http://www.testprepreview.com/nursing_practice.htm

http://flashcardsecrets.com/teas/ (This 1 isn't free..)

I know there are more out there.....

I will be taking my TEAS exam in October, I have to finish my Science classes first. I bought my study guide book from www.atitesting.com but I still use the other sites when I can't open my book...

I wish there was study guide info you can put on your Palm for TEAS like you can for NCLEX...Does anyone know of such programs....

Hi!

I cannot recommend the study guide (online) provided by ATI Testing for the NET test highly enough. I bought it (like $20 or something, completely internet based) and can vouche for the fact that it's almost IDENTICAL to the exam itself. I bought it the night before the exam and completed the entire practice test. It was the ONLY thing I used to study for the NET and I got in the 98th percentile the first time.

Bluechick-Did you take the NET or TEAS? So the ATI Practiced worked for the NET too? That I wasn't sure of. I am taking the TEAS since we are going to Cali now, if we were still going to GA I would have to take the NET for GA.

I took the NET. Maybe it wasn't ATI testing....

Whatever the company is that issues the NET. That's the site I got the online practice test from---FOR THE NET.

I also took the TEAS. Didn't bother studying. I hardly find it possible to study for the science section of the TEAS, which, in my opinion, is the hardest part. The TEAS isn't too bad. It's way harder than the NET, though. The English and Math sections are just common sense. But the science portion is a real kicker. We had questions about GEOLOGY on ours (clouds, mountains, etc.). Crazy.

Wow!! Geology? I wouldn't have guessed that. My book hasn't arrived yet, but I have been using learnatest.com for the time being. I guess that does make since b/c it says it covers Natural Sciences...I just wouldn't have guessed. Thanks for the info...I can prepare now....

I am having palpitations just thinking of taking the TEAS-knowing that my admission is riding on this test.

I went to my local library and picked up a 2008 Peterson's nursing school and allied heath exam. I believe this book would cover both the C-NET and TEAS-which I have to take both for two different schools.

The info in the book is pretty heavy. I am told that the TEAS and C-NET are nothing like what the booklet lets on.

I am going to study as hard as I possibly can just to be on the safe side. But again take a look at the Barron book.

Wow, whatever you do, please, I cannot stress this enough, the TEAS is setup the same way as your Study Manual and Online Practice test, I took the test yesterday, Sept.3, wow what a breeze. Oh my gosh, I nailed this test, thanks to the ATI Study Manual and Online Practice test, that is all you need. Believe me, I took the test 2 years ago and failed but this time around, I was in the high percentage marking. Good luck!

I am going to try this. I have the Kaplan nursing entrance exam book and read on here that it would be over studying (bad thing). I will buy the online ATI practice test tonight and see if the Teas test is really similar to what you say. I also read the study manual is much harder than the actual test. I will write back.

I also suggest the ATI study manual. I also took the TEAS a few weeks ago. I had a huge study book and it was quite overwhelming. The exam is created by ATI, so I feel that their study manual is more accurate and hopefully less overwhelming. The Reading section was a breeze. I would say to focus on Math and Science. Even though there not extremely difficult, if you have been out of highschool for a while then you most certainly need a refresher. GOOD LUCK
