Taking two sciences in a abbreivated class?

So, in order to apply for the nursing program and start it in the spring, I have to have all three of my sciences (A&P I & A&P II & Micro) completed by october 15th ! So im thinking of taking A&P I during thr summer, then take A&P II in a flex program. ( thats what our school calls the half semester program.) It would allow me to meet the october 15th deadline, but do you think the course load would be too much? Would that be a really heavy courseload?

It all depends on your studying skills. I'm taking A&P 2 with Chem at the same time and there are times that I ask myself was I crazy to sign up for two science courses at the same time. Luckily I'm almost halfway done with this semester (midterms are in a week for A&P and a week later for chemistry). I wouldn't advise it because it is difficult at times but if you truly believe you can then go for it.

A&P I during summer time can be tough. like futurernluvenia said, if you believe in yourself go for it. Study hard and dont fall behind. playing catch up in a summer class is a killer. I took both A&P I AND II, in my opinion A&P I is harder than A&P II. you can do anything as long as you believe and yourself. good luckk

If you have the discipline to do it, go for it! Why not apply in spring if you can. I debated rushing through my classes to make the spring deadline as well, and I'm glad I'm doing it this way. I figure at the very worst it gives me an extra chance to get into school before fall!

I would say go for it. I took A&P1 & A&P2 in different summer sessions. It was difficult & a lot of work, but it's doable. You have to have a lot of discipline but it will be worth it. There will be times that you think you can't go on, especially when all of your friends/family want you to do something with them. Just say no. It's going to be a word you're going to use often. It's going to be worth it & when you think you can't go on, YOU CAN! Good luck!

Thanks! I've decided that i'll just stretch my sciences through the full fall semester and just apply in the spring for the NEXT fall semester. I realized that it would be easier for me to finish all of my other classes before i begin the program, so i can just focus on nursing.
