Summer school class confusion

Hello everyone,
I am a high school senior and about to graduate this Friday. I decided to attend San Francisco State University in hopes of one day entering their nursing program ( or any other university that will accept me into their RN nursing program). I wanted to take summer class and finish a preq. so that I may be slightly ahead? I registered to take Anthropology at a local community college about 2 weeks ago. Summer school starts June 6. But then, as I was looking at SFSU's RN preq's, it said that:
A course in sociology or cultural anthropology (any one course in either is required for RN licensure in California) (GE Segment II): 3 units
Total for Additional Prerequisites: 28
and then I wondered if I am allowed to take anthropology so early because it is part of GE segement II?? & because I have not even taken any of the courses from the GE Segment II? Someone, please help!!?
