I applied to the ADN program at SAC for this coming spring. Just wondering if anyone out there is doing the same and is as anxious as me to find out whether or not I got accepted. :uhoh3:

Has anyone heard anything??

No haven't heard anything. But I heard rumors that some people have gotten notice of their acceptance.

Hang in there! No News it good News, I guess they are scratching their heads whether they should let us in or not ?!?!?!?!?!

Hey there ladies - StPauli Girl - you are in my class (Hansen). Who are you? I still have outstanding classes too so I am not expecting to get in either but oh well.. someone in my row today said she took a urine test, blood work etc for "the nursing program" I am not sure which one - I didn't ask.. but sounds like she got some sort of notification... email suck! It is NOT the best way to notify people at all! anyway, hang in there!

I agree that e-mail things is stupid.

We can't give up and need to keep trying our best. We'll get it next time if not this time. You hang in there, too ;)

That's ok....but I have some news, got my notification and just as I predicted....my composite score isn't high enough

got a counseling statement that recommeds for me to continue taking the required non-nursing courses on the ADN degree plan and improve overall GPA.

3 more A's that's all I can give them....I'm on my way to get an an A in A&P2.

Need to make A's in lifespan and ethics in the spring. I will apply for the fall admission regardless. Maybe my A&P 2 grade will be good enough.

How did they notify you? I only have two more classes, though I know they won't count this semesters so I don't think my composite will be high enough.. but my GPA is high so who knows...

My GPA is high also that's why I didn't get all the other "evil" check marks on their counseling statement, it could have looked much worse LOL It really is a matter of not having that grade in A&P 2 and the other 2 classes.....so don't get upset if it doesn't happen for you this time, that darn A&P is holding us up....Our time will come.

I wished they wouldn't take applications until all classes are completed....it would save lots of headaches, even on their side since someone has to process all those applications and send out the notices. The only explanation I have for this is that there is some money attached for the school....like funding which depends on the # of applicants or such. It just doesn't make any sense this way....why do they let people apply if they know we won't get in if we still have classes to take?!?!

Yep - what is funny is my friend got in without all the classes completed... so who knows.. not sure if she had the second ap or not... ah well...

Maybe you could ask her if she had taken all her science classes. If so we would have hope to get in for the fall even though we still need 6 non science credit added to the score....

Hi - Yep - I got my letter today - the only thing it suggested for me was to complete the courses I am taking or are enrolled in next semester - I only have chem and ethics left and am in AP II now - I have a 3.7 GPA but apparently people who have completed all the course work are ahead of me so... I heard there were only 100 slots and I am sure people have been trying for a while. No worries.. but the letters are coming...

Good luck in chem next semester, it's a math intense class... aim for that A!!!!!!

I am taking Oliver for Ethics MWF at 10:00 and Rose for Lifespan, and that will be all for the nursing program at SAC....I need nutrition and Statistics in addition if I want to go for the BSN at UT Heatlh Science. So I am pretty close to have everything done for both.

We will have our 3rd lecture test in A&P this coming Monday....respiratory and digestive system....studying my butt off for that so that I get that A in the end.

Now I am really nervous. I haven't received anything yet. I don't know whether thats good or bad. Were you notified by email or a letter? I guess I'll continue to wait it out and keep my fingers crossed.
