Quinnipiac University ABSN 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone! Thought I would start a thread for Quinnipiac's ABSN program starting in fall 2018. Looking forward to hearing from other applicants!

I visited the campus last month - it's beautiful!

I just finished my microbiology class with an A. Only have a&p2 left to be done in spring. Hopefully that doesn't hinder me since I'm not done yet

Hey everyone! I have a B.S. from UConn and I'm currently finishing up my application. Here are my stats:

Micro: (most likely an A, I'll know next week)

A&P 1: B

A&P 2: A

Stats: B- (messed up one exam, most likely retaking just in case)

Good luck to everyone!

Stats- A (retaking cause 2017 was the 5th year mark)

i hope i get in :( probably going to have to take out a bunch of loans because this school is so expensive.

Hi nursinghopeful92. Ur grades and gpa are VERY similar to mine!! And I feel the same about the loans. I wish u all the best. The deadline is officially here. Now we have to play the waiting game :(

My GPA was a 3.3 with an upward trend for the past 2 years (don't know if they care about that í ½í¸ž).

nice!! Good luck to everybody

Hi everyone! Happy to see that a thread was made for this year. I sent in my application a few days ago and have been nervous about the fact that my current career is not medically related--I have instead been volunteering and working side-jobs that are more medical. What kind of experience does everyone else have?

i am currently working as a CNA at two hospitals in CT for a good year or so. however, i heard there are a lot of ranges in professions for those who join the accelerated program. It is meant for people who want to change their career path, whether it is already in the medical field or not. I wouldn't worry too much of not having much experiences. As long as you mention an experience or reason WHY you want to be a nurse from the previous path you had. I would like to believe QU judge their applicants holistically.

I work at 2 hospitals as well. 1 adult med surg and 1 pediatric ICU. I agree with her response. Based on what QU said at the info sessions, they won't judge you because u don't have experience just write a strong essay explaining yourself and you should be fine

Thank you for the encouragement! I am hoping that is the case!

All the best to everyone! Now we have this long wait until March í ½í¸©
