- Feb 17 by KatieerinI am in my pre reqs now and my community college which I am attending for an AAS nursing school is English comp 1( upon passing placement score) , college algebra (and any remedials that you need completed beforehand) , biology ( a pre-req for anatomy and physiology) , American history, anatomy, chemistry, psychology, physiology, micro computer apps. Anatomy, chemistry, and physiology I have to complete with a "C" and our school is based on a point system for pre reqs, you get x amount of points for completing certain classes with a passing grade ie: anatomy 25 points , if pass with an A get an additional 15 points b 10 points... , get 20-50 points depending upon GPA upon acceptance to nursing program. And 0-100 points for each section of the HESI A2 exam which at my school is math ( must pass hesi with 85%), biology, A&P, vocab and reading( must pass hesi with 75%) All others must pass with 80%. I must get at least 590 points to be competitive for the program.
