The second part of Anatomy and Physiology was tough. We delved into all the different systems, and by far the hardest to get down completely were things like muscle contractions on the molecular level. However I enjoyed all the other prerequisites, my favorite being Microbiology... I think the lab part of Micro is one of the funnest classes you can take in college.

I agree micro lab is the best but I enjoy Anatomy lab as well, it's very interesting. Micro is crazy though, especially after you see your grown cultures from swabbing things like the desk, your throat, fingers, chairs, everything! Makes you wash your hands a little more =P

I would have to say math! I was having trouble trying to get through intermediate algebra this semester so I dropped it. I will take it again next semester ( maybe it's the teacher alot of people in the class were having a hard time keeping up) I love my A&P 2 class I am getting an "A" and honestly it's coming really easy for me! I wish math stuck with me like A&P does!!

At my CC we have to take Dosages and Calculations as a prereq. and its extremely challenging. There are LPN's and Pharmacy Techs that perform these operations on a daily basis and they're barely passing ...(the professor is like an urban legend)! Although I'm an A student ,I'm praying for a "C" so I never have to see this guy again.

I think I'll go with Chemistry.. I LOVED it in high school, but the class I took in college was horrible. I took it over the summer and it was just miserable. Somehow I managed to get a B/B+ in lab.

Statistics wasn't fun either and I honestly don't know how I got a B in it, I don't remember anything I learned.

I loved a&p and micro. I'm taking organic biochem this spring, but from what I've heard the one I'm taking is easier because it's for non-chemistry majors. Whew.

Hands down it was English comp. I only got a 2.5 in that. Oops...

So far chem and a&p have been a breeze.

Chemistry, this is so BORING and a foreign language. The only time I can hold my attention is when we bring up Sodium, Potassium, ATP topics that I remember from A&P. I have a 5 week count down for this class, and I'm counting down the minutes until this burden is off my shoulders. By the way, I'm in a General Chemistry (Principles of Chemistry) class, covering General, Bio Chem and Organic Chem. Does anyone know how much Chem we really use in Nursing School?

Microbiology was the most work of all but I loved it. It was my favorite course of all. It is not that it is so difficult from a conceptual point of view but it is a ton of information to memorize. One of the difficult things about memorizing all the info are the names. The words are not everyday words in our vocabulary i.e. clostridium perfringens, streptococcus pyrogenes, staphylococcus aureus, etc. Set aside LOTS of time for studying. Index cards are a great help.

Easily. I failed it the first time. And ended up with a C the second time through.

I'm in it deep now. My school offers admission to the nursing program based on AP I+II, chemistry, and english. So there's not a lot of wiggle room. Not at all. I need A's in both lecture and lab for APII to have a shot. And I got a few low B's on some of the previous exams. My -only- chance now is to pull off a 100% on the final exam.
