I bought the study guide but have read that the science section throws some people. Questions about rocks, really?! I don't know. I'm actually very nervous. I think that it will be way different knowing that it's timed. What sections were most representational from the study guide? I think I'm pretty good in Reading and English, but I'm worried for math (mostly because of the time limit) and science because I just don't know what they will ask. WHen did you take it? I'm taking at Rio Hondo College in Whittier, Ca. Any specific advice would be helpful! Thanks!!
Hi, jehida, i failed my teas test. I will retake on nov. 12th. I have more chance to retake it, english is my second language. i did not finish, the english, reading and science was difficult. The time go fast. I studied hard from teas book, but no luck. I remember rock questions on my science too. The maths simple, I like maths, but I did not finish. Did you pass?

On Saturday, I typed again a long review about the test and same happened the second time, so I just gave up. Maybe the forum doesn't allow to do it or I have no idea what had happened. So now I'll be short.
Study %. For example: you had 60$, spend 80% of it, then what had left invested for 80%. How much do you have? (answere 21.60$) If that was easy, then you are fine. I remember so much, but...
x/y+z=wr, x=?, then x=y(wr-z)
1st year you had 848 clients, 2nd 1078. What was increase in %? (answer=27%)
Make sure you know how to spell:accept, already, foreseeable, course, changeable, commit, average, manageable
You can give me your email and help you more.
The math portion from the study guide was really close to the actual test. Science - not at all.
Good luck!!!!
Hi,sacstate, I remember something similar to this in my exam. i have to practice more spelling. The english, reading, and science I find very difficult, english is my second langauage. I like maths, i think your answer is correct because, i remember that, unfortanately, i did not finish. the maths has some table with too many large numbers, i think is simple, but time too short. I cried after i finish the test, because i know the maths but no time. i hope i pass next time. i retake on nov.12. Did you pass? maybe you can help me. I dont know what to do, i studied hard from teas book, but no luck. Do you have to retake test, maybe we can review together, if you dont mind. I remember this spelling on my test, but i confuse it, english is my second lang, i never fail any class before. i dont know what to do, i really studied hard from teas book, but no luck.

I thought the book helped quite a bit for the maths and eng. The science is a different story--it's all over the place. Though, the online practice was close. Got questions for the science part. How did you manage with the translation for the mRNA code, Genetic q was kind of weird, with the punnet sq & answer choices, the book didn't have anything like those types of q for practice. The experiment with 50ml in 3 different materials, how did you answer that? How about the bk on the table? The q on the wheelchair was tricky. Thought it was about friction, will you increase or decrease friction. Will you increase distance/length or increase distance? How about the wave q. Never had a physics class. Do you think energy or force is related? Got more q's. Please send me a pm. Could really use some help! Thanks
Hi, nancy2009, sorry you have to retake. Im in the same boat. where did you take you test? i remember this questions, but i dont know if i have correct answers. I did not finish, time go fast. english, reading, & science, very difficult. i prepare with teas study guide, but no luck. i like to know how you answer these if you dont mind, may be we can review together. i have one more chance to retake. I retake on nov. 12. english is my second lang. i pass all my class, this teas test is problem for me. Let me know if you like to review with me. Good Luck in your retake test.

Re: Practice Teas Test
I am a little nervous about taking the teas. I am schedule to take it on Friday. I have already taken the online practice exam twice, and got the exact test both times. Is this the norm? I want to take it a third time, but I only if the exams are different. It seems as if it's only one practice exam that they re-use. The science part is my weakest so I will be paying more attention to that area.

Yes..the practice test online is a repeat, but it helps. Try to use different websites for the science part because it is such a broad area. Me, personally, I did not feel that the ATI study manual helped for the science section on the test. The science section is more of a either you know it or not type of deal. It would behoove you to study rocks, faults, and boundaries (divergent, subduction, and so forth). Know about the scientific methods and how it relates to what's being asked in the questions. Is your school taking the overall composite score or the scoring of each section?
