Personality Test for Specialty

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Here is a personality test to see which area of nursing you may fit in with the best. It is 130 questions but it goes pretty quickly. They will ask you the same question multiple times which is normal.

Post your results!

My top three were rheumatology, general internal med, and hematology.

This really is fun! Although a bit spooky! I was looking into hospice, oncology or rehab nursing.

My top 5 were:

radiology

occupational med

physical med & rehabilitation

nephrology

med oncology

I enjoyed this as well.. and passed the test onto my friend in her second year at med school.

I got:

1nuclear med44

2anesthesiology43

3ophthalmology42

4radiation oncology42

I've been interested in anesthesia (used to be an anesthesia tech) and more recently oncology. It's nice when the test appears to be a confirmation of what you think you would like.

Specializes in ER, Med-Surg.

pretty suprised by these results, I am interested in almost all of these!

Interesting Test. Here is my top 10

1spacer.gif.nuclear med [i am not sure that nurses even work in this field]

2.spacer.gifspacer.gifpulmonology [hum interesting]

3.spacer.gifinfectious disease [another field that don't use nurses, I think]

4spacer.gif.spacer.gifcardiology [interesting..my sister actually works in the cardiac unit]

5spacer.gif.obstetrics/gynecology [i don't think I would be to welcome here]

6.spacer.gifallergy & immunology [why?]

7spacer.gif.spacer.gifcolon & rectal surgery [interesting]

8spacer.gif.spacer.gifrheumatology [i know less about this field then the others so I don't know]

9spacer.gif.spacer.gifphysical med & rehabilitation [i am not in the best shape my self...lol, j/k]

10.thoracic surgery [humm]

I think they are trying to tell me to go into surgery or diagnostics, which sounds about right. Though I would not want to go into allergy & immunology. Honestly it sounds kind of boring and I don't think I would like to poke the same person 20-30 times with needles.

My top five were peds, dermatology, phys med & rehab, nuclear med, and radiology.

My top 5 were:

thoracic surgery

occupational med

pathology

nuclear med

rheumatology

I had never given thought to occupational medicine, but it seems like a rather cushy gig. My favorite specialty, plastic surgery came in at number eleven... so I have mixed feelings about this survey. But this survey is taken by a student, and not an actual nurse. Perhaps after my training occurs I will have different results?

1. Nephrology

2. Dermatology

3. Medical Oncology

I was thinking Med-Surg, Oncology, and MAYBE ER.

Specializes in None.

Hahaha this is awesome... A lot of questions though! Here are my top 3:

1neurology

2endocrinology

3cardiology

I wasn't sure what I wanted to get into, but now I can use this to look up more info on my top 10 list. Thanks for this link Travellpro, I'm going to send this to my friend!

Mine are just what I expected :)

1pediatrics

2obstetrics/gynecology

3general surgery

My top 10 were:

1. dermatology

2. pediatrics

3. obstetrics/gynecology

4. psychiatry

5. rheumatology

6. med oncology

7. hematology

8. ophthalmology

9. emergency med

10. nephrology

I have 0 (absolutely none) interest in dermatology. I really want to do pediatric oncology.

For me, Pediatrics was 2nd on the list, and Oncology was 6th. Close enough, LOL.
